I was charged for a month, my fault for not canceling. I contacted them to cancel, which they must have done because I have guest access only.

That would be fine if they refunded me. They have not, so I should have access to use their site, but I do not!

I canceled my subscription and yall keep running my card

User's recommendation: Do not use I have been paying for a subscription and none of the information I received had nothing to do with my family history. You can not talk to a live person and the keep charging my card

Today, I signed up for a free trial, I noticed that I was a member since 2019? I did not remember signing up for an annual subscription.

Please confirm my status with the News paper, associated with Ancestry.com.

I'm trying to figure out what is going on with www.newspapers.com? I thought I had access, but all I get in "Upgrade" notices???

I'm trying to figure out when I am on www.ancestry.com, I am not able to access the www.newspapers.com website without a lot of notices and confusing information. I THINK I had a subscription; however, I haven't been able to use it for so long I'm not sure it hasn't expired. I am not a happy customers.

You have been auto renewing my membership without my permission.

On August 19, 2022, I subscribed to Newspapers.com through Ancestry. I only needed it for a short duration.

Within a couple of months, I cancelled Ancestry.com. I just realized you renewed my subscription in February of this year for $74.90. I have already contacted the bank about August 19, 2023 auto renewal, which they were able to reverse. I never gave you permission to renew my subscription.

Please reverse the charges from February. If you do not, I will get my bank involved.

[DON'T USE THIS SERVICE. NO WONDER THEY ONLY HAVE 1.4 STARS]

I signed up for newspapers.com "free trial" to simply read the occasional article, and, or read obituaries.

I later found out they charge $60 plus for regular membership.

So I decided to cancel my subscription. It took me almost an hour to cancel and verify cancellation!

I signed up for and am registered as a "Registered Guest, Free Member"...They charged me $59.90 for a subscription I did NOT approve and after having to deal with their VERY poor customer service, I have NOT received my refund, and they just stopped communicating with me. I'm on heart medication and have a limited income, $60 is A LOT of of money in my world. I agree with the original poster, stay away from Newspapers.com unless you like being robbed!
